Apple Rises 4% - Q3 Tops Estimates, Q4 Sales Seen Mostly Above Street, Sets Dividend

Apple (AAPL) gained 4% after the company said Q3 ended July 1 sales rose to $45.4 billion from $42.4 billion and topped the CapIQ mean for $44.94 billion.

EPS rose to $1.67 from $1.42 last year and beat expectations for $1.57.

Q4 sales are seen between $49 billion and $52 billion, mostly above forecasts for $49.2 billion.

Its board of directors declared a cash dividend of $0.63 per share, payable on August 17 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on August 14.
